Regulated brokers are required to publish their licence numbers on their websites. Once you know a broker’s FSP or licence number, check with the regulator to see if the broker’s licence number is legitimate. Since the SEC does not regulate international Forex brokers, we recommend using brokers based in South Africa, UK, Europe or Australia. Regulated brokers from these countries are required to publish their licence numbers on their websites.
Major regulators such as the FSCA (South Africa), FCA (UK), ASIC (Australia) and CySEC (Europe) all have searchable registers.
